Certainly the most famous French producer of these works is the Pellerin family. They founded "Imagerie d'Epinal", in the homonymous French town, in 1796. The company is still in business today.
All the following sheets are about one hundred years old. I load my best quality files, but unfortunately they are not the best quality. Today they cost too much for me ( about $ 150-200 each ) because I can buy original and scan them.
For my convenience I have divided them into four groups.
Normal series: "Epinal" with its original number (eg Epinal724)
Series "2000": (eg Epinal2018), because all paper soldiers in this series have front and back art.
Epinal "Serie de Guerre" (eg Epinal SDG022) Some figures have with front and back drawings ( others don't have ) but all represent dynamic moments on the war front.
Series "Soldats a aspetcts simpe et compet": (eg EPINALS004 ) because this is its original appellation.
All these plates were realized and published between 1914 and the end of the war.
