The Italian book publisher "La Sorgente" ( "The source" ) was very active in the 1960s. It was one of the largest publishers for children's books and more. It published in 1966 ( my year of birth some paper soldiers' 4-page booklets.
Someone says nine, someone says ten. The tenth booklet ( about British royal guards ) no one has ever seen.
Our information is a little inaccurate. because our best author, historic professor about paper soldiers topic, Alfio MORATTI, in one of his articles, "The Italian Production of the Postwar Period", he speaks of 9 issues but then lists ten. Piedmontese soldiers, Italian cuirassiers, Italian Alpine soldiers, Italian bersaglieri, Napoleon's soldiers, Indians, American soldiers, medieval soldiers, Roman soldiers and British royal guards.
